Thomas Sabo Signature Store Opening in the Venetian Hotel:

On June 4th 2010 over 200 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvre in celebration of the grand opening of the Thomas Sabo Shop at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian in Las Vegas. With celebrity Designer Nicky Hilton, Socialite Olivia Palermo, and BMX rider Ricardo Laguna in attendance, the red carpet was a sea of photographers, Canadian and US media outlets and the FPR team. Celebrities and guests were able to admire the beautiful jewelry before heading next door to Las Vegas hot spot TAO Nightclub for the private after party. In celebration of the opening, Mayor Oscar Goodman proclaimed June 4 “Thomas Sabo Day” in the city of Las Vegas. The FPR team was responsible for arranging all transportation and accommodations for the Canadian and US media outlets, managed the red carpet and VIP room for celebrities and client and assisted with event logistics. |
ELLE Canada Presents TFI New Labels® Runway Fashion Show & Gala

Surrounded by the most glamorous of the Canadian fashion industry, guests enjoyed a exciting evening sipping on tantalizing cocktails, indulging in lavish hors’d’oeurves and witnessing the finale of a six-month long design competition at the annual Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels® Runway Fashion Show & Gala. Five finalists, Anastasia Lomonova, House of Groves, Diepo, Birds of North America and Paris Li, illuminated the runway at The Carlu for a stylish crowd of 400. The evening was emceed by CBC News Now anchor Anne-Marie Mediwake and included high profile guests such as actors Wendy Crewson and Rachel Wilson, supermodel Monika Schnarre and ‘Bachelorette’ Jessie Sulidis. Faulhaber PR was responsible for all media relations onsite and both pre and post event. The FPR team also managed runway logistics, event registration and VIP management. |
The Interior Design Show/IDS10

The ULTIMATE in personalities, design, performance, and experience came together during Canada’s largest contemporary design event The Interior Design Show/IDS10. 48,000 visitors attended the four day event held at the new location the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and was the core of the inaugural Toronto International Design Festival. For the fourth consecutive year, Faulhaber PR executed the public relations campaign and strategy on behalf of Merchandise Mart Properties Canada Inc., the creators of IDS and TIDF. Faulhaber was responsible for all media relations leading up to the event securing over 500 media hits for the show and festival. The FPR team managed the VIP / Media room for the duration of the show & coordinated with MMPI on several high-profile VIP events. We liaised internationally with exhibitors, speakers and media, ensuring their needs were exceeded. |
Thomas Sabo watch collection “Time for Party”

Surrounded by Rock n’ Roll inspired décor with black feathers and red roses, media and VIP’s danced the night away at the oh-so-chic ULTRA Supper Club for the Canadian launch of the Thomas Sabo watch collection “Time for Party”. Guests had the chance to try on the stunning watches as well as the Sterling Silver and Charm Club collections while sipping on Sabo inspired “Rock n’ Rose” cocktails and snacking on German inspired hors d’oeuvres. Top Canadian film, television and music celebrities as well as major fashion and lifestyle media had their pictures taken on the red carpet by famed photographer George Pimentel and showed off their Thomas Sabo jewellery and watches. As a result of FPR’s hard work, the star studded event generated over 120,100,000 impressions in the national media. |
VAWK Spring/Summer 2010 collection

With majestic architecture as his backdrop, Designer Sunny Fong took center-stage at The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) to present the highly anticipated VAWK Spring/Summer 2010 collection, his first since winning Project Runway Canada Season 2. With over 200 media and VIP in attendance, Fong unveiled a romantic tale of a voyage to paradise while cameras from Fashion Television, ET Canada, Fashion Magazine, Global News, Canadian Press, eTalk and Inside Fashion rolled and clicked. As a result, Faulhaber PR garnered hundreds of print and online articles as well as several television and online segments making Sunny Fong’s first runway collection a great success! |
Project Runway Canada Season 2

As the Unit Publicity team for Project
Runway Canada, Faulhaber PR worked to optimize pre and
post-production media coverage. To ensure viewership targets
were met, FPR secured over 1000 media hits in publications
such as National Post, Ottawa Citizen, EnRoute, Women’s
Post, Metro, Sweetspot, FAB magazine, Entertainment Tonight
Canada, E! News Weekend and 680News Radio. Coordinating
closely with the production team, FPR managed the front
of house finale taping live at LG Fashion Week, hosting
over 800 guests and managing an exclusive media tour.
FPR executed all Project Runway Canada media requests
and episodic interviews with talent, and arranged post-runway
interviews with international celebrities Iman and Coco
Rocha. |
Interior Design Show (IDS09)

The Interior Design Show (IDS09) is
Canada’s leading design event which showcases the best
in design ideas and inspiration for the home to almost
50,000 people over 4 days. For the third straight year
Faulhaber PR managed the public relations campaign and
strategy on behalf of Merchant Mart Properties Inc, the
international organization which brings us IDS. Faulhaber
was responsible for all media relations leading up to
the event – securing over 400 media hits for the show.
Our team of 20+ managed the VIP / Speaker / Media room
for the duration of the show & coordinated with MMPI on
several high-profile VIP events. We liaised internationally
with exhibitors, speakers and media, ensuring their needs

Evan & Dean – Toronto Fashion Week

Evan & Dean’s Vancouver-based design
duo Raymond Boutet and Lyle Reimer took to the tents of
Toronto Fashion Week with their label’s Spring/Summer
09 collection. 600+ confirmed media, buyer and guest RSVPs
from FASHION, FLARE, National Post, Montreal Gazette,
Holt Renfrew, Maxi Boutique made for a buzzing turnout
in the tents. Cameras rolled on the runway and in interviews
for Evan & Dean including Fashion Television, CTV News
Toronto, Entertainment Tonight Canada, Inside Fashion
and Cosmo TV. FPR garnered excellent coverage in national
broadcast, print and online press for the young designers.

Fidelity Denim Fall Media & VIP Preview

Canada’s top fashion & lifestyle media
joined Jason Trotzuk at Mendocino’s Bloor St flagship
to preview Fidelity Denim’s Mens & Womens Fall
08 collections. Top Canadian editors from well
known monthlies, dailies, online and national broadcasters
were given a sneak peek at what’s in store for luxury
denim. Founder/designer Jason was on-hand to dish about
new washes, cuts, styles, and sweeps and to personally
present his exciting second installment of Men’s denim.

as she stopped in to pick up a pair of the coveted Scoops.

‘know miss rowe’ – Fashion Week Event

Budding designer Ashley Rowe recruited
Faulhaber PR to promote her fall 08 collection – a clever
juxtaposition of English Dandy and Rock & Roll. Editors
received intriguing invites promising “high tea & delicacies”
at hip Toronto resto Brassaii and were delighted to find
themselves away from the runway tents for high tea & crumpets.
Top editors perused black racks of black leather and fur
ensembles. Flare, Fashion, The Globe and Mail, Loulou,
Martini Boys, Hot Toronto, ELLE Québec, Sweetspot, Rouge
Magazine, 2 Magazine, The Montreal Gazette, Dolce Dolce
and Glow Magazine attended along with stylists and fashionistas.
Coverage included pre-event mentions in NOW Magazine’s
10 designers to watch, The Toronto Star’s pre-fashion
week article, Globe and Mail Style. Bloggers embraced
‘miss rowe’ following the event with postings on Loulou,
Sweetspot, Torontoist, Martini Boys and FASHION. Using
a strategy that considered the carefully crafted aesthetic
of a high end fashion label and the newness of this budding
designer’s brand, Faulhaber executed a very successful
fashion week event setting the stage for miss rowe as
a media darling. |
Interior Design Show (IDS08)

For the second year running, FPR spearheaded
a successful public relations campaign for Canada’s largest
Interior Design’s Show (IDS08). Thinking Ahead:
FPR buttressed the tradeshow’s stellar reputation by positioning
it as a contender on the world design stage and securing
coverage in Canada’s leading national newspapers, including
cover stories in The Globe and Mail, National Post and
Toronto’s Metro. Targeting broadcast media leading into
the show resulted in spots on Breakfast Television, Global
Morning News, CityTV News, CBC Newsworld and included
a ‘design week’ feature on CBC radio one – all crucial
in reaching record-breaking attendance. Making
it Happen: Onsite at the Direct Energy Centre,
the FPR team managed a standout VIP and media
lounge which hosted 500+ guests. FPR hosted a
buzz-worthy media preview and maintained a media room
which provided up-to-the-minute coverage updates and acted
as a first point of contact for media and VIPs. Our role
included exhibitor relations, media relations and monitoring,
speaker liaison, and VIP guest management. |
Architectural Digest “Green Lounge”

On September 25th 2007 Architectural Digest alongside Brian
Gluckstein showed us how to decorate fabulously the earth
friendly way. In celebration of Toronto’s participation in
Architectural Digest “Architecture Days”, a VIP cocktail reception
was held at the Gibsone Jessop Gallery in The Distillery District.
To much anticipation, the high-design eco-themed installment
called The “Green Lounge” by Gluckstein Design was unveiled.
Those in attendance enjoyed “green” cocktails, organic hors
d’oeuvres, and some one on one time with the designer himself.
Giulio Capua, vice president and publisher of Architectural
Digest declared his excitement about expanding Architecture
Days to the city of Toronto.
Next Door
Media Preview Event
Due West has a new big sister. Meet Next Door. “We like to
call NEXT DOOR, an eco-friendly designer hanger-haven.” As
guests gathered in the in the new designer dwelling, the attention
to detail was definitely evident. “NEXT DOOR’s look is Scandinavia
meets New York Gallery. We wanted the store to be whimsical,
to reflect their edgy clothing lines, and to carry over a
sentiment from the original store, Due West.” said Interior
designer Jane Son of & Son Studio. Shopping mavens frothed
at the mouth while perusing the racks of this newly opened
designer boutique. The event was deliciously catered by Versailles
with beverages and take-away still water provided by Kolonaki
Group. Everyone graciously walked away with fabulous swag
from Canada Goose, 5th Avenue Repair, and Junk de Luxe.
Interior Design Show 2007
The 2007 Interior Design Show attracted
more than 50,000 visitors, including design professionals,
media and renovation-bound consumers. Global lifestyle
and design took center stage at IDS07, presenting
three inspirational packed days with an incredibly diverse
and creative speaker line-up. The event showcased imaginative
urban & home design, avant-garde industry news, and the brightest
in design talent the world of contemporary interiors had to
offer. IDS07 was the
place to create living space for today and to be inspired

Rk Queen St. Opening Party
Rk celebrated the opening of their newest boutique on Queen
St. W in Toronto on February 13 2007. Media, real estate developers
and fashion fanatics enjoyed glasses of bubbly, clear Fiji
Water and delicious delights by Toronto caterer Lindsay Shaw.
Models showed off rk’s Spring 07 Collection while the seasonal
campaign shot by photographer Ted Pun (talnted.com) rolled
on screens in the background. Gift bags of Tab Energy, GC’s
and a diamante necklace were the guest’s special take-home

Finishing Touches Spring Preview Event
Finishing Touches opened its doors to Toronto media and loyal
customers on February 28 2007 for their annual Spring Preview

Kama kazi style boutique grand opening gala
Kama kazi celebrated the opening of their new kids store
and the relocation of their style boutique on November 22,
2006 with a grand opening gala. Media and fashion fanatics
perused Toronto’s ultimate destination for modern objects,
music + fashion and enjoyed yummy cuisine from Sweet Lulu
and listened to beautiful Taiko Drumming by the Kiyoshi Nagata
Ensemble.

Starbucks Green Carpet Party
The Starbucks Green Carpet Party invited coffee lovers, Starbucks
fans, celeb-starved-TIFF-eager media and tastemakers to enjoy
lessons in celebrity etiquette while sampling tasty Starbucks
beverages and treats. Guests jammed to the soulful sounds
of DJ L’oqenz in the afternoon shade of trendy Yorkville’s
main parkette.

Joeffer Caoc’s dramatic Fall 2006 collection themed “Beauty
in Calamity” featured beautiful high octane fabrics, textures
and Joeffer’s signature elaborate tailoring. Top media, industry,
family and friends were all there to watch this Canadian fashion
icon in action. Beauty in Calamity will be available is in
stores across Canada country this Fall 2006.

The food was fabulous, the champagne was flowing and not
to mention the clothes were stunning, as we celebrated the
launch of rk’s flagship store in Yorkville. Family, friends,
Elmer Olsen models (with Salon Jie hair & Mac makeup) and
top media were on hand to celebrate with rk’s 5th anniversary.
FT 30 years of Style
Finishing Touches celebrates their 30th Pearl Anniversary
with fabulous guests, great gifts from Red Earth, Hugo Boss
and Cake Beauty and delicious catering from Sequel, and the
décor complimented the crowd. Hot designers Arthur Mendonca
and r.u.’s Rosemarie Umetsu, Toronto Star’s Rita Zekas, Cityline’s
Sandra Pittana, Brian Bailey and other fashion friends were
on hand to celebrate with the Finishing Touches team. The
charity organization AboutFace benefited from a designer auction.
TFI Press Breakfast
Toronto’s top media nibbled delicious Drake brunch fare and
browse through the latest collections from Canada’s hottest
new designers. More than 60 of Canada’s top media and buyers
were in attendance. The room was swamped with cameras. Mac
provided parting gifts.
Fidelity Denim Launch
Vancouver denim designer Jason Trotzuk stops by Over the
Rainbow to launch his classic denim collection of Fidelity
Denim. Fidelity jeans have since been called ‘the bra for
the butt’, and are improving the butts of a growing number
of Hollywood heavy hitters as we speak.
